In return for your commitment you will benefit from a comprehensive programme of training that will start in September to prepare you for the important role you will play during the busy Christmas Season. On successful graduation to Assistant Manager you will take full responsibility for a department in the store where you will focus on Customer Service, Sales, Loss Prevention and Team Development.

Your growing ability to lead and motivate a team will be nurtured by your General Store Manager and you will continue to develop with their guidance. Your Personal Development Plan will also include development opportunities across the country where you can show us the impact you can have in problem solving, standard setting and business development and where you can learn from our very best managers in the key disciplines required.

Following your second Christmas Season, your sights will be firmly set on running your own store. After graduating I was looking for a Graduate Training Scheme that I could really get excited about and what Toys "R" Us were offering really appealed to me. I’d never been to an interview like it before – it was so much fun! – and just 2 days later I was offered the job that started my career. I have been really lucky to be involved in some great stores with great people and I love the fact that there are always people to support and guide you no matter what level you’re at. You have to be passionate and self driven – I am and I know this rubs off on my team. It’s a fast paced environment but every day is different - it keeps you alive!
