Toys “R” Us have always loved a good deal! Whenever they have anything to shout about, they are always the first to send it to the printing press ready for publication to all the Mums and Dads around the country.
I thought I would raid the archives and dig out some of our old press adverts for you to have a look at. Some of these toys are still available now (or at least a newer, shiny version) so I have also found some more modern pictures for you to look at too! Most of these adverts appeared in the news in the late eighties - its interesting to see what has happened to the prices since then!

or at least that is what we thought back in 1989 - in 20 years the price has got lower and the product has got millions of times better - how much fun did you have on the first ever PlayStation ?
The newest PlayStation is currently selling for £269.99 (September 2010)!

There is a transformers Optimus Prime action figure in here - You can still get those today, as well as LEGO, Subbuteo and Hungry Hippos
You might not be able to see it too well but the block in the first row of smaller products is for Children's VHS Videos - DVD's hadn't even been invented! - £6.89 each though - Bargain!
